For a long time, we have celebrated International Women’s Day on March 8 as an occasion to honor the contributions of women around the world. But don't forget, in Vietnam, we also have a similarly meaningful day. Celebrated on October 20, Vietnamese Women’s Day is not only a time for us to show respect to the women we love but also marks the first time Vietnamese women were able to vote and participate in government and social work.

In the past, a Vietnamese woman could only be a supporter who stayed behind her husband. Now, she can go out, earn a living, and have a voice in society while still supporting her family.
As students, we should view this day as a special opportunity to recognize and honor the important roles of our mothers, sisters, and, of course, our teachers. October 20th is also a time for men to express their appreciation by sending thank-you cards or meaningful gifts to their mothers, wives, or daughters.
I love seeing all the boys voluntarily prepare candies and cute cards with messages inside for the girls in the class, keeping it a surprise until that day. This is such a sweet and innocent act of pure love.
After learning about this day, what do you think about making a handmade present for our mothers? I believe she would cherish it, no matter what it is. Let’s make this day special and memorable for her.
